A Family Reunited, Hope Restored.

ree

Three months ago, Momin's life and his family’s world turned upside down.

Momin, who came to the United States in 2010 seeking a better life, was arrested by ICE during a raid. A devoted husband to a lawful permanent resident and a loving father to two U.S. citizen children, Momin had lived over a decade in the U.S. without any criminal record, always working hard, paying taxes, and contributing quietly to his community.

When Momin was taken into custody, his family lost not only their provider but their foundation. His wife and children faced sleepless nights, fear, and uncertainty. Their lives put on hold as they prayed for a miracle.

aiLegal stepped in to fight for that miracle. Attorneys Aamna Aziz  and Ayan Salah immediately filed a motion for a bond hearing, but the Immigration Judge denied jurisdiction under Matter of Yajure Hurtado. Undeterred, our legal team pressed forward, refusing to let this family’s story end in separation.

After months of relentless advocacy, dedication, and hope, Aamna and Ayan successfully won Momin's cancellation of removal before the Immigration Court. Momin walked out of detention into the arms of his wife and children — a moment filled with tears, gratitude, and renewed faith.

We extend our appreciation to the Immigration Judge for the thoughtful consideration of the case and to the ICE Counsel for their professionalism throughout the proceedings. Respectful advocacy and fair adjudication together made justice possible. And we all shall continue this way.

Today, Momin is not just free. He is one step closer to becoming a lawful permanent resident of the United States, a milestone symbolizing justice, perseverance, and the power of unwavering legal advocacy.

At aiLegal, we are reminded once again why we do what we do: to protect families, fight for fairness, and restore hope — one case, one client, one victory at a time.
