• Janay is an experienced attorney who has worked on a variety of intellectually challenging and cutting-edge immigration issues. She has experience working with various government agencies, including USCIS, DOL, CBP, and DOS. Janay has expertise in legal research, analyzing and resolving unique immigration issues, and remaining up-to-date on new immigration regulations, policies, and guidance. She has applied her knowledge of eligibility requirements for several types of non-immigrant and immigrant petitions/applications to provide legal counsel and oversee submission to the appropriate government agency. Janay has extensive experience drafting client alerts, internal communications, and FAQ/fact sheets highlighting changes/new application of immigration laws and the impact of such changes to clients. She has also reviewed correspondence received from USCIS, DOL, CBP, and DOS, formulated strategies, and written legal responses advocating for clients. If necessary, she has written and filed appeals to DOL and USCIS. Janay has effectively communicated via email/telephone with domestic and international clients, including foreign nationals and HR representatives, regarding eligibility for immigration benefits and potential issues/risks, developing solutions/discussing alternative options. Janay has worked at Fragomen, Del Rey, Bernsen & Loewy, LLP, Morgan, Lewis & Bockius LLP, and Baker & McKenzie LLP, where she has gained extensive experience in immigration law. She has worked closely with clients and internal colleagues to onboard new clients, including attending client pitches, revising terms of service, and reviewing incoming files.
